FAQs
Is there anything different because of COVID-19?*
Shakespeare in the Vines follows the current guidelines set by the CDC and State of California.
Extensive cleaning measures will be in place before and after each show.
Tickets will only be available for purchase online. This is due to the regulations set by the State of California for live performances.
Masks are encouraged, but not required. House and Production staff may be wearing masks.
*These procedures are subject to change with the state guidelines. Please check back here upon your show date to see if there are any updates or changes.
Are there chairs at the Winery, or do I need to bring my own?
Chairs are provided at the winery. You need not bring your own. They are folding chairs, so a seat cushion might be desirable. Because of assigned seating, no outside chairs will be permitted. We apologize for any inconvenience.
How long is the show?
The performances, including intermission, will typically run either two or two and a half hours.
Does it get cold at the winery at night?
A blanket and light jacket is strongly suggested, as it can get chilly in the evenings.
Is there assigned seating?
Yes. All seating is assigned. No outside chairs will be permitted.
How can I purchase tickets?
All tickets for this season can be purchased Here on our website..
When will I receive my tickets, or is it will call?
When you purchase online, you will be emailed your ticket. You can choose to print or present your tickets on your mobile device. Seating is assigned, so you will need to present your tickets upon the night of the performance. We will also have a check in table with a list of names upon each performance night.
I’ve had something unexpected come up, am I able to exchange my tickets for another performance date?
We will do our best to accommodate your request. Though it is not guaranteed you will have the same seats, being Royal or General Seating for the exchanged date.
If you happened to have purchased Royal Seating on your original show date and General Seating is the only option for the exchanged date, there will be no refund for the difference in price.
I purchased my tickets and found out my friends are also going the same night, can we all sit together even though we purchased separately?
As long as they purchased the same table/seating area. Otherwise you will be asked to please sit in the seats you were assigned. No exceptions. We strongly suggest purchasing all tickets in the same transaction so your whole party can be seated together.
What time should I arrive for the show?
You may arrive 1 hour before showtime to enjoy our picnic area. Seating will open 30 minutes before curtain. No early admission will be accepted! Our Actors and Production Crew have to prepare the venue for the show, and we ask you please respect their work.
What about inclement weather and shows cancelled due to rain?
Every effort is made to perform each show as scheduled. All SITV TICKET PURCHASES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.
If weather forces the cancellation of a show BEFORE it has begun, an announcement will be emailed, posted on our social media accounts as well as here on our website. If there is no such announcement of a cancellation, the show will go on as scheduled.
If weather forces a show to be cancelled either BEFORE OR DURING THE FIRST ACT, "ticketless" rain vouchers good for any remaining performance will be credited to remaining ticket holders.
If you are a ticket holder for a cancelled show, or if you would like to exchange tickets now for another show and not take the chance of rain, you may contact the ticket box office by sending an email to <info@shakespeareinthevines.org> and arrange for exchange to any remaining performance date of that show. If there is a rain out during the final performance date of that show, patrons will be allowed to exchange their tickets for a show of their choosing in the same or the following season.
If weather forces a show to be cancelled DURING THE SECOND ACT, i.e. after intermission, the show is over for that date, and there are no refunds.
